How the FPL planner works
Our own projections
Expected points per player for the next 8 gameweeks: minutes, goals and assists from xG/xA, clean sheets from team strength and opponent, saves, bonus and defensive contributions. Tested on two past seasons it was never fitted on.
Every move checked
The planner checks every legal squad you can reach over the next gameweeks: banked free transfers (up to 5), −4 hits, selling prices, 3 per club and your chips.
One clear answer
Who goes out, who comes in, whether the hit is worth it, your best XI, your captain and when to play your chips.
FPL planner questions
Do I need my FPL password?
No. Lineup Optimizer only needs your FPL Team ID, which is public. It never asks for your login.
Where do the points come from?
From our own projection model, built on public FPL data and past seasons (data by vaastav/Fantasy-Premier-League). Injured and suspended players follow FPL's own flags.
How does it decide whether a hit is worth it?
An extra transfer is only made when it gains more than the 4 points it costs over the weeks you plan, counting your whole XI and captain.
What does "safe" and "bold" mean?
Safe leans towards players many managers own, which protects your rank. Bold leans towards differentials with upside, which helps you catch a rival. The points shown are always plain expected points.
Why is my number of free transfers wrong?
FPL doesn't publish it, so we work it out from your history: one more each gameweek, up to five, kept through a wildcard or free hit. Change it in the settings.
Is this the official FPL site?
No. Lineup Optimizer is an independent tool made by AddonNordic ApS. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Premier League or Fantasy Premier League.
